Art Competitions
For over three decades, Lions clubs around the globe have been sponsoring a very special art contest in schools and youth groups. Creating art, gives children everywhere the chance to express their visions of peace and inspire the world through creativity.
The overall winner of our recent Schools, Fun Art Competition is Meadowgate Academy. The final eight winning entries are now, (courtesy of Julie Bushby at Tesco) and through the efforts of Lions Marilyn and Bill Batrick, displayed at Tesco for a short time.
The standard from all finalists was high. About 350, 11-13yr old pupils at eight schools, undertook the Lions Club challenge to draw or paint a picture about “What Summer Means To Me”.
The winners from each of the below sections will receive a £10 voucher and the other two entries from each school will receive £5 vouchers.
Congratulations to all, especially the overall winner Meadowgate Academy.
Watch out for the next challenge!
